Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 14, 2026. Website analytics disclosure updated October 16, 2026. This policy applies to Voryn Labs games and the studio website. For iPhone photo backup, read the separate Cloudified privacy policy. For the open-source Android TV app VividOrbit, see the dedicated VividOrbit Privacy Policy (100% private, zero telemetry, zero ads).

1. Who we are.

Voryn Labs is an independent software studio. This policy explains what information our apps and website collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions: appsvorynlabs@gmail.com.

2. What we collect.

  • (a) Analytics (Google Firebase Analytics). Anonymous usage events: puzzle completions, level outcomes, settings changes, session length. These are keyed to the game, not to your identity — we do not collect names, email addresses, or account identifiers, and we never attempt to identify you.
  • (b) Crash reporting (Firebase Crashlytics). Device model, operating system version, and crash stack traces, used solely to find and fix bugs.
  • (c) Advertising (Google AdMob). If you see ads in a game, Google may collect a device advertising ID (AAID) and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads. You can limit or reset this at any time: Android Settings → Privacy → Ads → “Delete advertising ID” / “Opt out of Ads Personalization”. Our games honor that setting. Some titles offer a one-time Remove Ads purchase that disables ads entirely.
  • (d) Purchases (Google Play Billing). Payments are processed entirely by Google. We receive only a confirmation of entitlement (for example, that Remove Ads was purchased) — never your payment card or account details.
  • (e) Device-stored progress. Your game progress and settings live on your device. No account is required to play. Nothing beyond the anonymous events above is ever uploaded.

3. How we use it.

To improve our games, fix crashes, and fund the studio through ads and one-time purchases. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Ever. No advertising identifiers are linked to your gameplay data.

4. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA, and beyond).

  • Access and deletion. Write to appsvorynlabs@gmail.com and we will delete your analytics and crash data (through our Firebase console) within 30 days.
  • Opt out of ad personalization. Via the Android Ads settings above.
  • California (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know what we collect, request deletion, and opt out of sale — we do not sell data, so there is nothing to opt out of.
  • EU/EEA/UK (GDPR). Right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. Exercising any right will not affect your ability to play.
  • Children. Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. For any listing Google Play marks “Designed for Families,” the additional restrictions of Google's Families policy apply to us automatically.

5. Retention.

Analytics events are retained for 13 months (Firebase default); crash reports for 90 days. We may shorten these but never lengthen them without notice.

6. Third-party links.

Our games link to Google Play and our GitHub source. Those services have their own privacy policies.

Website analytics.

The studio website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate page views, visits, referring sites and page performance. This website-only beacon sends traffic and performance information to Cloudflare. Network requests are processed under Cloudflare’s privacy policy; Cloudflare documents this service separately from advertising analytics. It does not use analytics cookies or add an analytics SDK to our apps. Our light/dark preference may still use local browser storage.

Website statistics start when this integration is activated and may omit visits blocked by privacy tools. They are not a count of installed apps or successful backups. Cloudified and VividOrbit retain their separate app privacy policies. GitHub Pages, external links and Google Fonts have their own network/privacy practices.

7. Changes to this policy.

The applicable product policy describes each app’s data practices. Material changes are published on that policy page with a new effective date. Where required by law, we will seek consent for changes that affect your rights.
